some of my first, most sensorial memories were of huge waves washing over my powerless little body. I was probably around 4 years old standing in the shallow waters of a beach but I remember all of a sudden being lifted into the air by a huge wave and thrown down ferociously into another wave, over and over again. It was an uncontrollable, wild sensation… I would gasp for air only to be thrown down again and finally I made my way to the shore with sand buried inside all of the little creases in my body, in my hair, in my mouth.
